Pre-flight checklist: baggage, documents and your ticket

Most travel-day stress comes from a few simple questions: which document do I need, what can I bring, what if plans change? We have summarised the answers here.

Your ID

For a domestic flight you need one valid photo ID: national ID card, passport or driving licence. For children, a birth certificate is enough. Bring the original; photos and copies are not accepted.

Baggage allowance

Each ticket’s allowance depends on its fare class and is printed on the ticket. Cabin baggage is up to 7 kg. If you have excess baggage, you pay for it at check-in.

Prohibited and restricted items

Flammable items are not allowed. Power banks and spare lithium batteries go in cabin baggage only, and each liquid in cabin baggage may be up to 100 ml. Put sharp objects in checked baggage.

Changes and refunds

The earlier you ask for a refund, the smaller the penalty. If 780Air cancels your flight, you get the full fare back with no penalty. The full penalty table is in the Travel rules section.

Full details on baggage, refunds and documents are in the Travel rules section. Pack with peace of mind!
